Area Leader - GTG (Gas to Grid) Job at TotalEnergies Uganda

TotalEnergies EP Uganda is seeking a highly experienced and motivated professional for the role of Area Leader - GTG (Gas to Grid). This is a senior leadership position based in Uganda, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the country's energy sector development and work with a global energy leader.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all Gas to Grid (GTG) operations within the designated area.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for GTG infrastructure and distribution.
• Ensure compliance with all Ugandan regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, local communities, and partners.
• Oversee the maintenance, reliability, and efficiency of GTG assets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Petroleum Geoscience, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the oil and gas industry, with significant experience in gas operations or midstream projects.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects in Uganda or the East African region.
• In-depth knowledge of gas processing, transmission, and distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of Ugandan energy sector regulations and HSE standards.
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
