The International Labour Organization (ILO), a specialised agency of the United Nations, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrative and Finance Assistant to join its Kampala office. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations in Kampala.
- Process and handle financial transactions, including payments, vouchers, and reconciliations.
- Provide comprehensive logistical support for office activities, meetings, and events.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist in budget monitoring.
- Support procurement processes in line with ILO and UN financial rules.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and administrative documentation.
- Liaise with local vendors, service providers, and government offices as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education (Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or equivalent).
- Formal training and certification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in administration and finance roles.
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office and financial software.
- Experience working with international organisations or NGOs is an added advantage.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
