World Vision Uganda, a leading Christian humanitarian organisation dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential, is actively hiring an Administration Officer for its operations in Yumbe, Northern Region. This is a full-time position ideal for a proactive and organised professional seeking to contribute to meaningful community development work.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day administrative operations and office management in the Yumbe field office.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and inventory, ensuring efficient procurement and record-keeping.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and staff travel within the Northern Region.
- Handle correspondence, filing systems, and document management in compliance with organisational policies.
- Support in the preparation of administrative reports and budget monitoring for office operations.
- Liaise with local service providers, vendors, and community stakeholders in Yumbe District.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained office environment for all staff.
- Provide administrative support to programme teams to facilitate smooth project implementation.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Public Administration, or a related field from a recognised institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in office administration, preferably with an NGO or international organisation in Uganda.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office management software.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural team environment.
- Knowledge of local context in Yumbe or the wider Northern Region is a strong advantage.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
